I am just finishing a week of, fresh air, fresh food, and a fresh state of mind down at my parents house in Heber. I’be been watching the house and doing the farm chores while they went on a climbing trip in the wind rivers. It’s been a blast, playing with chickens, and lambs, and cooking fresh picked veggie’s and eggs in the solar powered oven. mmmmmm but now it’s bout time for a head change as just about every weekend is booked for the cosmonauts from here till october.
a little flick I put together of the fire conclave and the temple burn at element 11 this year.
had a blast on the fourth, as usual, ran the 5k first thing in the morning, then DJ’d all the way down main street in the parade, then it was the annual high school reunion at city park. good times, good friends, great country.
timelapses into the desert night skies, capturing the natural movement of earths rotation. these are all 15-25 min long
the local burn was last weekend. an event I was not planning on attending until a day after it had already begun. Coulson Rich, my great friend, and big sis. (photo at bottom of post) had the motivation to build, and bring out an entire 2 story art car which he created from scratch days before the festival. His motivation, (and the fact that he bought my ticket) was enough to inspire me to go.
And since we are cosmonauts and there was empty space that needed filling friday afternoon we packed up, hauled out an airstream, box truck, trailer, art car, solar powered DJ booth, tons of lights and sound, and built the magnesium arch. Only to head straight back to town to play an all day gig with the solar saucer before returning to rock the party. so, on an end note, the event may not be my favorite but to all my friends, and family out there I sure do love you.
p
p.s. I am sad to say no one was chained to the effigy this year.
It’s been three underfed, over worked, malnutritioned, dehydrated, hot, delirious, pain staking weeks of nothing but pure bliss under the hot desert sun. In the past five weeks we (the cosmonauts) set up the SolLun, threw a party, took down the SolLun, drove it to Moab, set up a solar powered electronic village, teepee, solar stage, center structure, geo dome, juice bar, tons of art, and much more. we ran a whiskey bar, hosted over a dozen bands, half a dozen DJ’s, power lights, sound, power tools, and juice bar, all powered straight off the sun. then without delay, we packed up shop, brought everything back to green river (on reused veggie oil) just in time to set up a stage and host 4 live bands for the green river art, and music festival. No loud obnoxious generators, no smelly exhaust, zero carbon footprint. props Cosmonauts, major props.
c-bot did it so naturally I couldnt be showed up.
someone killed a rattlesnake out at desert rocks and just left it in the dirt, so I skinned it, gutted it, and with the help of premier chef Scott Ashley grilled it up for a yummy snake and eggs breakfast.

There was a bike art show/gold sprints at FRESH botique on 9th and 9th a few weeks ago, I made this peice last minute for it simply because I cant pass up an oppertunity to make bike art! Unfortunately the show happened while I was in Vegas so I was unable to partake in the festivities. oh well. there’s another bike show coming up at the 2nd and 2nd bike shop.
go check it out at fresh, buy it even.

I made these for Shabu Resturaunt in Park City, had a blast making them. Now go buy some sushi and test them out for me.
This is the first batch of hand made jewerly. all silver pieces. It is pretty much my new obsession, and there will be much more to come shortly. When I get back from santa barbara i’m gonna be pumpin it out. ideas up the wazzu.
It was a nice sunny day, the calm before the storm leading up to last fridays KROOZER SKID NATION race. you could smell the anticipation in the air (not to be mistaken with the odor of the sacrificial squirrel) as the competitors trued wheels, and re adjusted headsets, for the mother of bike races, THE NATIONAL KUMVENTION was about to begin…
Not to ever not stop being not not outdone the Nation has once again braved Deth itself; jettisoning dignity and the contents of their stomaches the Nation convened in an event one person called ‘fucking gross, ewwwwwww’. The K$N Kumvention marked the start of spring, the season of Tramadol and shirtless skidz. To that end, the National committee of propaganda brings you this heart warming motion picture. We don’t want you to write us, we don’t want you to blog about us and we certainly don’t want you to bring your friends to our next race. This is a personal kummunication. Think of it as Our way of saying ‘go throw up blood on your own dique’.
~ Austin Andrews (head wordsman on the National Kummittee)
This is my new obsession… well one of them. I shot these when I was down in Mexico, around 60 second exposures. you’ll be seeing more of these for sure, I love taking them.

so nice to play in the desert this weekend outside of las vegas. We rocked the saucer at the Red Rocks Rendezvous, A climbing festival. Three days of hiking, biking, climbing, slacking, and music.
wish i made it.
Lorin played a facemelting set at In the Venue last night. Scotty and I held down the outside crowd blasting solar powered womp tunes from the saucer to mad dancing frenzy of ravers, burners, and hipsters.
This winter as shopping season ramped up I did a few christmas boutiques selling some of my hand made jewelry, clothing, hats, toys… Very fun.
cordura 1 of a kind hip bags, if you want one shoot me an email.
We are Refurbishing this sweet vintage airstream into a bamboo, and aluminum pimp place. It’s a commissioned piece for a good friend Chris Carpenter. we will be driving it down to him in Puerto Escondito Mexico in November!
